Hi, I am Jason Parmley, the CEO and Co-Owner of Next Step Communications, LLC. I am married to Shannon Parmley, who I absolutely adore. We were married in 2005 and I love her more every day! I am so thankful for her as she has stood strong with me through many long days building Next Step.

We have 2 children, Kayla and Leah, who have worked in our business in different aspects, and I couldn’t be prouder of the amazing people they are growing up to be. I am excited to see them on their life journey to find the way to their dreams as well. I am a 6th generation Colorado native and love everything this great state has to offer and I would not want to live full-time anywhere else. My hobbies include world traveling, listening to music (preferably in my hammock), camping, fishing, riding my motorcycle, scuba diving, working in my yard/pond, and smoking meals in my smoker for my family. I love to travel around the world as much as possible with my family and see all the incredible things this world we live in and appreciate all the amazing things my family gets to do in our adventures.

One of my favorite locations to visit is Mexico. I hope to semi-retire in Mexico someday and be able to go between Colorado and Mexico during the colder months. I love what we do here at Next Step! Even though it is demanding, it is my dream job. Between the cool new technology that we get to work with and all of the amazing people on our team, every day is something different. In this industry, we are constantly learning new things and it lets me be creative in designing our projects as no two are the same.

I have worked in telecommunications since 1996 as a cable TV installer installing cable TV, then internet services and phones as technologies advanced. I was the operations manager for 2 separate companies for 10 years, each time moving up from an installer to supervisor to operations manager managing up to 10-40 technicians and running the day-to-day operations for the businesses. After 20 years of working for large multimedia companies, I saw the need to provide a much more personalized approach to offering technical services to customers. My former co-worker, Ryan Brungardt, my wife Shannon, and I created Next Step in 2010 with a single small Nissan Frontier pickup, a ladder rack, and my home garage as the warehouse. We set out to start providing our unique skillset to private residences and businesses installing data infrastructure wire and networks.

Over the years we honed our skills, slowly vetted and added our team members, and added new lines of services and products we could offer our customers. I take every chance I can to go to trade shows and vendor training to stay on top of our ever-changing industry. This includes our current product lines and future technologies that have not yet hit the consumer market. My approach is to first beta test, then choose the best products to offer todays cutting-edge technologies that have the maximum performance, the highest amount of reliability, and ease of use for our customers. And to do it as cost-effectively as we can. Combined with our professional installers, we offer some of the best service and product value!

My next goal is to open a branch of Next Step Communications, LLC in Cabo San Lucas Mexico to someday provide our services to clients in the Baja Sur areas. Next Step is a dream I built with my business partner, Ryan, and my wife Shannon. With our combined talents and the talents of the fantastic employees that make up our professional team, it is something that I am very proud of.
